This Privacy Policy applies to boriklabs.com and BorikLabs products and services.
1. Information we collect
BorikLabs collects only the personal information described below.
Our hosting provider may temporarily process standard request information such as your IP address, app or browser details, and request time. Operator's update check sends only this standard request information. License activation and verification also send your license key and a device identifier, used to apply your license's device limit. We do not use this information for analytics or advertising.
Cookies and analytics
We use analytics to understand how people find and use our website, so we can make it better. This includes the pages you view, how you found us (including any campaign tags in the link you followed), how far you scroll, and which links you click, such as a download. It also includes your approximate location, your device type, browser, and operating system, and how quickly pages load.
Basic visit counts come from privacy-focused analytics that uses no cookies. For more detail, we use Google Analytics, which uses cookies to recognize a returning browser. Neither tells us who you are or follows you to other websites. We never use analytics for advertising, and we do not use advertising trackers.
Depending on where you are, we ask before using these cookies. Wherever you are, you can change your choice at any time.
2. How we use information
We use personal information to provide, secure, and support BorikLabs products and services, manage licenses, process purchases and refunds, communicate with you, prevent misuse, and meet legal obligations. You can opt out of non-essential emails at any time.
3. Operator: your device and your AI
Operator runs on your computer and connects you directly to the AI provider you choose.
- Stays on your computer: your settings, chats, and API keys.
- Goes to your AI provider: your prompts and the project details they need, such as layer names, preview frames, and files you attach. Its privacy policy and terms apply.
- Not sent to BorikLabs: your API keys, AI sign-ins, prompts, project files, footage, or renders.
With Operator Connect, the connected app (currently Claude Desktop) receives the project details it asks for, through your account with its provider. BorikLabs does not receive them.
4. Purchases and licensing
When you purchase a BorikLabs product, payment is processed by the provider shown at checkout. Operator purchases are currently processed by Polar. BorikLabs does not receive or store your full payment-card details. We keep the purchase and license records needed to provide, verify, and support your license.
5. Support and optional feedback
If you contact support or send optional feedback from inside Operator, we receive your message, your email if you provide one, and basic context such as the Operator and After Effects version and your operating system. We use this to respond, troubleshoot issues, and improve our products and services.
6. How we share information
We do not sell or rent personal information, or share it for marketing. We disclose it only as needed to operate and support BorikLabs products and services, or as required by law.
7. Service providers
BorikLabs uses service providers for website delivery and analytics, payments, licensing, and support. They process information as needed to provide those services and may do so in countries other than the one where you live.
8. Data retention
We keep purchase and license records as long as needed to provide your license, process refunds, prevent misuse, and meet legal or accounting requirements. Support messages and optional feedback are kept only as long as reasonably needed.
9. Your choices
You can opt out of non-essential emails using the unsubscribe link in those emails or by emailing support@boriklabs.com.
You can change your choice about cookies at any time in Cookies and analytics.
To request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information BorikLabs holds about you, email support@boriklabs.com.
10. Children
BorikLabs products and services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the limited information we hold, but no system is perfectly secure.
