Your data and privacy
Operator connects your After Effects project to the AI provider you choose. Here is what stays on your computer and what is shared when you use it.
Your AI connection
AI prompts and requests go directly from your computer to your selected provider, using your account. They are not routed through BorikLabs' licensing server.
To answer a request, the provider can receive relevant conversation context, project information returned by Operator's tools, custom instructions, attachments and composition previews. Project information can include names, properties and other details needed for the task.
Only share material you are allowed to send to that provider. Its account settings, data policies and retention rules apply.
Your local files
Your After Effects project and source assets remain under your control. Operator does not automatically upload your entire project folder or full-resolution source footage as part of a normal chat.
That does not mean no project content leaves the machine: information read by the tools, rendered previews and files you attach can be included in AI requests.
Operator stores settings, chats and project checkpoints locally. Provider credentials are used for your chosen connection; do not share those credentials in chat or support messages.
Licensing, updates and feedback
These are separate from AI requests:
- Licensing: Operator contacts BorikLabs' licensing service, hosted on Cloudflare. The service checks license and device information with Polar to activate, verify or deactivate an installation. AI prompts do not pass through this service.
- Updates: Operator contacts BorikLabs to check for available releases.
- Purchases: Polar handles checkout and purchase records. BorikLabs does not receive your full payment-card details.
- Feedback: information you choose to submit, together with the diagnostic details described by the feedback form, goes to BorikLabs support.
Network and hosting services can process standard request metadata. See the Privacy Policy for the full explanation rather than treating “AI requests go directly to your provider” as a claim that the app makes no other connections.
Operator Connect
With Operator Connect, the external app has its own AI account and privacy settings. The bridge to the panel is local, but the external app can send its conversation and returned project information to its AI provider.
Before sharing a screenshot or report
Remove API keys, license keys, sign-in links and confidential client information. Send only the information needed to explain the issue.
